Interested in wine tasting?

The Wine Appreciation Society of Penrith is a group of people affectionately known as WASPs. The wine club meets monthly at The Roundthorn Hotel to taste a selection of wines from around the world.

Our monthly wine tastings are guided by invited experts including wine buyers, growers and producers, retailers, sommeliers and wine enthusiasts.

Tastings focus on enjoying wine and learning about it in a relaxed atmosphere.

Are you an expert or do you simply enjoy a nice glass of wine?  Would  you like to meet  with other enthusiasts?  We have something for you whatever your level of interest. 

Membership costs £20 per year commencing from the 1st March.

The cost of monthly tastings is currently £24.00 for members, which includes a finger buffet. In addition to our regular tastings, we hold a summer lunch in July and a Christmas party in January. You are welcome to bring guests along to any of the events. The costs for guests is £29.00. If you would like to join or are interested in attending an event please wasppenrith@gmail.com
